SOCIAL WORKER Oneida County is accepting applications to establish an eligibility list for full-time (37.5 hr/wk) Social Worker positions. This list will be used to fill a current opening and future vacancies for up to one year. Therefore, applicants who will meet the eligibility requirements within one year are encouraged to apply and forward new information as it becomes available. Starting 2018 hourly rate of $21.66 to $24.75 plus fringe benefit package. The current open position will be responsible for a broad area of social work responsibilities, including both Adult and Children’s Services, including Adult Protection Services, Guardianship and Protective Placement, and ACCESS duties for both adults and children. This position will be included in the after-hours on-call rotation. Oneida County Social Services is a Trauma Informed Agency that empowers, educates and supports agency staff to provide services in a caring, compassionate and safe environment. Work involves determination of client needs, provisions of appropriate services, and referral of clients to other resources and programs as needed. Qualified applicant must have a four-year degree in social work or related field; certified by the State of WI as a Certified Social Worker or eligible for certification or training certificate required. Must have the ability to gather, assess and use information in developing case plans, and plan and provide appropriate and effective referrals; knowledge of the principles and practices of social work; knowledge of laws, regulations, and practices pertaining to social service programs; good communication skills; ability to maintain accurate records; strong computer skills; valid WI Driver’s License; ability to pass 40 wpm typing test. PAYROLL/CIVIL PROCESS TECHNICIAN SHERIFF’S OFFICE Oneida County is accepting applications for the establishment of an eligibility list for a Sheriff’s Office Payroll/Civil Process Technician. Starting 2018 hourly rate of $18.58 plus excellent fringe benefit package. Position performs a variety of clerical tasks related to payroll, accounts receivable, and the review, entry and management of civil process records within the Sheriff’s Office. Qualified applicants must have the ability to interpret federal and state wage laws; perform highly accurate multifaceted data entry; ability to comply with current payroll processing procedures; willingness to initiate and develop changes as needed; ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personnel payroll matters; computer knowledge; bookkeeping experience; excellent customer service skills; ability to meet strict deadlines; and willingness to work outside of the normal workday and workweek on occasion. Individuals must have two years of post-high school education with course work in accounting, bookkeeping, math or secretarial science and one year work experience as a typist, secretary or related area, OR five years’ work experience in a professional environment performing related duties involving accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or related field; must have the ability to type 50 wpm Successful applicants may be requested for testing, an oral interview, pre-employment drug screen, psychological assessment, and background check.
